UIBC-UC Drives India-UAE CEPA Momentum with Strength in Synergy Launch

UIBC-UC was privileged to host a distinguished farewell dinner at Amal, Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa in honour of H.E. Sunjay Sudhir, the outgoing Ambassador of India to the UAE. The evening brought together eminent diplomats, leading voices from the Indian and Emirati business communities, and senior members of UIBC-UC in a fitting tribute to a diplomat whose tenure has left an indelible mark on UAE–India relations.

Under Ambassador Sudhir’s visionary leadership, bilateral ties between India and the UAE have scaled unprecedented heights. His tenure has been marked by record-breaking trade volumes, historic agreements, and strengthened cultural and diaspora bonds that have set a new benchmark for collaboration. In recognition of his exceptional service, H.E. was recently awarded the First Class Order of Zayed II by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, one of the UAE’s highest civilian honours, underscoring the depth of his contributions and the esteem in which he is held. Key UIBC-UC projects spearheaded under Ambassador Sudhir’s leadership includes the UAE-India Friendship Hospital and the Bharat Mart with DP World.

The evening also celebrated the presence of Mrs. Vandana Sudhir, an educator and artist whose creative pursuits have added further richness to the family’s contribution to the UAE. Her recent solo exhibition at the Etihad Modern Art Gallery stands as a testament to her artistic talent and cultural engagement.

The farewell was marked by heartfelt tributes from dignitaries who reflected on the Ambassador’s diplomatic brilliance, strategic foresight, and personal warmth. H.E. Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of India in Dubai; Mr. Faizal Kottikollon, Chairman of UIBC-UC; Mr. Rizwan S., Co-Chair of UIBC-UC; along with board members Mr. Tariq Chauhan and Mr. Ankur Gupta shared moving words of gratitude and admiration, honouring the Ambassador’s enduring legacy of service.

The gathering was further graced by the presence of H.E. Almaz Tasbolat, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai; H.E. Jean Christophe Paris, Consul General of the French Republic in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; among other distinguished guests.

The evening was seamlessly executed by the UIBC-UC team, Kshitij Korde, Neha Sahni, Simar Kaur, Aiswarria Suchith, and Prathibha Prem Kumar, whose efforts reflected the organisation’s commitment to strengthening UAE–India partnerships. The evening marked not just a farewell, but a celebration of enduring ties and shared progress.

Following the dialogue and report launch, UIBC-UC hosted a luncheon with high-level government officials and industry leaders, fostering deeper engagement and strategic dialogue between stakeholders from both nations. The UIBC-UC team instrumental in the research was also present, including Kshitij Korde, Neha Sahni, Simar Kaur, AiswarriaSuchith, and Pratibha Prem Kumar. This dialogue and study play a significant role in advancing a new era of trust, innovation, and shared prosperity between India and the UAE.
