In the run-up to the India-UAE Partners in Progress Conclave 2025, the UAE-India Business Council UAE Chapter (UIBC-UC) continued to strengthen its strategic partnerships with key global institutions. Mr. Faizal Kottikollon, Chairman of UIBC-UC, and Mr. Kshitij Korde, Head of Corporate Affairs, recently met with Mr. Mohamed Al Sharhan, Managing Director of the World Governments Summit (WGS), to explore avenues for deeper collaboration in the realm of global economic thought leadership.
This high-level meeting built on the momentum from UIBC-UC’s active participation in the WGS 2025 Roundtable on “Emerging Economies,” where members shared valuable insights on India’s growing role in global governance and policy discourse.
Key areas of discussion included co-developing joint research initiatives, authoring white papers, and establishing UIBC-UC as a knowledge partner for future WGS platforms. The dialogue also touched on customized activations in the lead-up to the next edition of the World Governments Summit, underlining a mutual commitment to driving innovation and meaningful dialogue on global challenges.
UIBC-UC expressed its gratitude to the WGS leadership team—Reem Baggash, Shahad Al Zarooni, and Shaqra Al Suwaidi—for their dynamic contributions to the meeting.
As a continuation of this collaboration, Mr. Al Sharhan has been warmly invited to attend the India Today Conclave – UAE Edition on May 15, 2025, in Dubai. This flagship event promises to be a key milestone in advancing India-UAE economic and strategic cooperation.
